HOW TO BOOK - BRITTANY

Booking your holiday gite, apartment, farmhouse or cottage is easy through brittany-france.com.  We take you directly to the owners and you book directly with them so that any questions you may have you can be assured that you're speaking to the right people.  You get the best for your money too as there is no commission or travel agents charges because you book directly.  All of our advertisers are either English owners or speak fluent English to there's not even a language barrier either.

We have found that by far the most wonderful way to explore real France is to stay in self-catering accommodation.  You really get to live the French lifestyle and you have the freedom to do what you want whenever you want!  For us the transition from hotels to holiday properties was easy as we'd travelled extensively, however we do also bear in mind that for some this is an entirely new experience and hope that we've incorporated as much information to help as possible to help and give guidance.

Following this brief introduction here are some useful hints and tips.

We wish you a very happy holiday.

YOUR FIRST STEPS

  • Decide on the location you wish to be within.

  • Select the most appropriate property considering:

    • For example: Number of people in your party, whether your pets are allowed, any other specific requirements you may have.

  • Telephone or email directly to the property owner indicating your requirements and dates.

  • Check the most appropriate method of transport for your party - BRITTANY TRAVEL GUIDE - the travel guide also contains many hints and tips to help you.

  • Be aware that July and August tend to be the months in `high season` for both your transportation and your holiday property and you need to book both promptly if travelling at that time.

YOUR ACCOMMODATION BOOKING

  • It is normal for the property owner to ask for:

    • Non-refundable Deposit - this is a deposit to secure your booking

    • Security Deposit - this is a deposit which will be fully refunded to you if no damage/breakages occur during your stay

  • Once the deposits are received the property owner then would send to you your confirmation of booking along with directions to the property of your choice.

YOUR METHOD OF TRANSPORT

  • You may choose to take a ferry using your own car, fly and rent a car or take the train; each is entirely your own choice.  BRITTANY TRAVEL GUIDE will help you.
